Appliance Rebate Program

This new program was created by the Department of Energy (DOE) and funded with $300 million USD.  Utah has been awarded $2.6 million to disperse among participating citizens in the program.  This program covers new Energy Star appliances and only covers those appliances purchased after the start of the program.  So find that receipt for your new washer and dryer and submit it with your application and get some free money!  You can register to receive updates via email and to be notified of when the program will begin.  Applications were originally due in December of 2009 so you still have plenty of time to get your rebate if you purchased new in 2010.

Also, information on the program and its implementation will be posted as soon as it becomes available on the USEP Web site: http://geology.utah.gov/sep.
In addition, those interested in the program can sign up for our American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding update notification list by emailing energyappliancerebate@utah.gov. You will be informed as soon as ENERGY STAR rebates and other ARRA funding becomes available.
